Day 24 – The Secret Life of Things

Susan Eringhaus’s Day 24 The Weight of the World got me thinking about things.  Her poem appears tied to the weight humans bring to the world.
Most people need things in their lives to communicate to others about themselves.  But what about the lives of those things?  These two country folk appear to be talking an evening stroll through an English countryside – unusual for Reykjavik.  Most windowsill roamers are trolls and little people.  What happens when a troll and/or little person happens upon this sill?   Maybe that’s why the Mrs is carrying a basket, just in case… .
