Day 1 – Beginnings.

Iceland Winter Sunrise

I gifted myself a trip to Iceland with eight other photographers, for my 50th birthday.  I love snow and this February brought with it a freak snowstorm that lasted most of our week.
The trip was arranged by photographer, Bill Schwab, to photograph the aurora borealis (Northern Lights), which was supposed to be at its apex during that time.
We did see the Northern Lights the first night but the rest was obscured by clouds filled with snow.
